Media

To upload media to be displayed on your screens, click on "Media" in the left menu.

You can start uploading your media using the "Add New" or "Add Site Address" buttons located in the upper right.

Adding Media

When you click on the "Add New" button, you can upload files with extensions ".jpg, .jpeg, .png, .bmp, .gif, .mp4, .mpeg, .qt" in the window that opens.

When you click on the "Add Site Address" button, you can paste the website address related to the media you want to use in this field. The added address should be in the "https://example.com/" format.

Viewing Media

To view the uploaded media in detail, hover your mouse pointer over the media you want to view.

Clicking on the eye icon located in the same row as your media or on the media itself will open the larger version of your media in a new tab in your browser.

Editing Media

If you want to change the visible titles of the media or image processing preferences for your media, click on the pencil icon located in the same row as the media.

In the window that opens, you can change the media title or click the "Image Processing Preferences" button to set your image processing preference.

Deleting Media

To delete a media, click on the trash can icon located on the same screen as the media. Media deleted in this way is not permanently deleted from Octopus. Deleted media is saved in the "Deleted Items" page. Media that hasn't been interacted with on the "Deleted Items" page is permanently deleted from Octopus after 30 days.

Permanent Deletion and Recovery

To permanently delete media from the Octopus panel, click on the trash can icon located in the upper right for the media you want to be permanently deleted.

For media that you want to recover, check the checkbox located on the same row as the media and click on the "Restore" option from the actions menu located in the upper right.
