Playlists

To create playlists that will be broadcasted on your screens, click on "Playlists" in the menu.

Creating a Playlist

You can start creating your playlists by clicking on the "Add New" button in the upper right corner.

In the opened window, after writing the playlist title, you can upload the content you want in your playlist with the "Add File" and "Add Website Address" buttons located at the bottom of the window. After these steps, you can create your playlist by clicking the "Save" button.


Playlist Details

To view the contents of your playlists, click the eye icon located on the same row as your playlist.

Viewing Playlists

To preview how your playlists will appear on your screens, click the play icon located on the same row as the playlist you want to view. This will open a new tab in your browser and display your contents.

Copying Playlists

If you want to create one more playlist similar to an existing one, you can duplicate it. Click on the duplicate icon located on the same row as the playlist you want to copy. In the opened window, name your new playlist and click the duplicate button.

Editing Playlists

To edit an existing playlist, click the pencil icon located on the same row as the playlist to be edited. In the opened Edit Broadcast window, make the changes you want and click the "Save" button.

Deleting Playlists

To delete a playlist, click the trash can icon located on the same screen as the playlist. Playlists deleted in this way are not permanently deleted from Octopus. Deleted playlists are saved on the Deleted Items page. If no action is taken on the Deleted Items page, playlists are permanently deleted from Octopus after 30 days.

Permanent Deletion and Recovery

To permanently delete playlists from the Octopus panel, click the trash can icon located in the upper right for the playlist you want to be permanently deleted.


For playlists you want to recover, check the checkbox located on the same row as the playlist and click the "Restore" option from the actions menu located in the upper right.

Filter

With the "Filter" menu located in the upper right, you can filter the number of playlists to be displayed on each page or the approval status of the playlist.

Limit

With the "Limit" option in the "Filter" menu located in the upper right, you can determine the number of playlists to be displayed on each page.

Status

If you have playlists awaiting approval, you can filter your Pending Playlists, Approved Playlists, and All Playlists separately by clicking the "Status" option in the "Filter" menu located in the upper right.

Playlist Approval

After your playlists are created, they can be put into use after your approval or the approval of another user. If you want your playlists to go through an approval process, go to the settings page by clicking on Settings in the left menu. Then, go to the Authorization page from the top menu of the settings page.

After clicking the "Require Approval" option in the Playlist Approval field, your playlists cannot be put into use without approval.

To access the playlists waiting for approval, click on the "Pending" option in the "Status" menu from the "Filter" menu on the Playlists page.


Here, you can approve the playlist you want to approve by clicking the tick icon on the same row as the playlist you want to approve.

Search

You can search for the title of the playlist you want to search for on the Playlists page by typing it in the search bar located in the upper right.
