Screen Groups

To configure settings such as screen rotation, screen gaps, and Wi-Fi information for your screens, navigate to the Screen Groups page from the left menu.

Creating a Screen Group

You can start creating screen groups by clicking the "New Add" button in the top right.

In the window that appears, after entering the screen group title, you can choose working hours from the working hours field that you have previously created, or you can select "Always On" as the default option.

If you want to set rotation for your screens (e.g., 90° rotation), you should choose the desired rotation from the rotation field.

If you want to give gaps to your screens, you can enter values in the Screen Gaps field, depending on the region where you want to leave a gap. You can also enter Wi-Fi settings for your screen/device.

On Raspberry devices, the default Wi-Fi name and password are set as "octopustv" Unless changed, they will remain as such.

Editing a Screen Group

If you want to change the information associated with your screen groups, click on the pencil icon located next to your screen group. In the window that opens, you can edit the information you want and save the screen group.

Deleting a Screen Group

To delete a screen group, click on the trash can icon on the same screen as the group. Using this method, the deleted groups are not permanently removed from Octopus. Deleted screen groups are saved in the "Deleted" page. Screen groups that have not had any action taken on them will be permanently deleted from Octopus after 30 days.

Permanent Deletion and Recovery

To permanently delete the screen groups you want from the Octopus panel, click on the trash can icon in the top right.

For the screen groups you want to recover, check the box on the same line as the content and click the "Restore" option from the actions menu in the top right.

Filter

Using the Filter menu in the top right, you can determine the number of screen groups to be displayed on each page.

Search

Using the search bar in the top right, you can search for a group title in the screen groups page that you want to search for.
