To install the software compatible with your selected screen, you should visit octopussignage.com. Click on the Platforms page in the bottom menu, and you will be directed to the page with software prepared for different operating systems.

Based on the screen's operating system, software should be installed on a Raspberry Pi device or a screen. This software will provide a unique 7-digit screen code for each screen, allowing you to create and manage screen content.

Raspberry Installation

For the Raspberry setup, you'll need a minimum 16 MB SD card, an HDMI cable, and a screen. To load the downloaded file onto the card for the Raspberry, you should install the application from https://www.balena.io/etcher/ on your computer. Once the application is opened, select the Raspberry software downloaded to your computer for the "Flash from file" section, and choose the SD card attached to your computer for the "Select target" section. After completing these steps, click on "Flash" to load the software.

Once the software installation is completed, the SD card should be reinserted into the Raspberry device. Use an HDMI cable to connect the device to a screen. One end of the cable should be plugged into the Raspberry device, and the other end should be connected to the screen. To enable the device to access the internet, connect it to a Wi-Fi network with the SSID and password "octopustv."

Open the screen, plug in the Raspberry device to activate it.

After the screen setup associated with the device is complete, a 7-character label will be assigned to the screen. Thumbnail creation error: File missing

After this process, there is no need to perform any further actions related to your device or screen. We will use the 7-digit screen code on the Screens page later.
