Screens

Creating a Screen

To start creating a screen, click the "Add New" button in the upper right.

In the window that opens, in the first step, after downloading the application software to the screen, you should enter the 7-digit screen code that appears on the screen.


In the second step, you should enter the name you want to give to your screen.

The label field in the second step is optional, and you can use it if you want to group your screens with a labeling method. You can use any labeling system that will be specific to your screens in this field. After entering the screen name, you can complete this step without labeling.


In the third step, you should select the screen groups, playlists, and working hours that you have previously created for your screens.


The "Add Location" field is optional and can be filled in if you want to add the locations of your screens.

The Screen Resolution field is optional, and you can save resolution information for your screens if you want.

The Screen Type is an optional field, and you can save your screen type information.

Finally, if your screen has image processing capabilities and you want to use it, you should check the option "Activate the image processing feature ?"

After completing all the steps, you can create your screen by clicking the save button.

Remote Operations

To remotely manage your screens, you should click on the three-dot icon on the same line as your screen.


In the menu that opens, you can perform actions such as turning on, turning off, updating, rebooting, clearing, and resetting the device, and updating the software by clicking on the operation you want.

By clicking on the "Report" option in the same window, you can view information about your screen, the screen name, the start and end times of the content, and how many times the content was displayed on the screens.

Screen Details

If you want to view detailed information about your screens, click on the eye icon on the same line as the screen. In the window that opens, you can view information such as signal information, IP information, TV status information, and the signal information sent to the screens.

In this window, you can open the screen with the "Open" button, update the assigned playlist to the screen with the "Update Playlist" button, and restart your screen with the "Restart" button.


You can also view log information about the screen by clicking on the "See Details" button in the screen details window.

Editing a Screen

To make changes related to your screens, click on the pencil icon on the same line as the screen you want to edit. After updating the information you want in the screen edit window, click the save button.

Deleting a Screen

If you want to delete a screen, click on the trash can icon on the same line as the screen. In the window that opens, you should enter the 7-digit screen code and then click the delete button. If the wrong code is entered, the screen cannot be deleted. Deleted screens are saved in the "Deleted" page. Screens that have not had any action taken on them will be permanently deleted from Octopus after 30 days.

Permanent Deletion and Recovery

To permanently delete screens from the Octopus panel, click on the trash can icon in the upper right.

For screens that you want to recover, check the box on the same line as the content and click the "Restore" option from the actions menu in the top right.

Operations

If you want to perform bulk operations on the screens, check the box next to the screen you want to perform the operation on and click the "Operations" button in the upper right. You can perform the operation you want in bulk by clicking on options like open, close, update, reset device, etc.

Filter

With the "Filter" option in the upper right, you can filter the information you want to view on the screens page.

  • With the "Groups" option, you can filter screens belonging to the same screen group and view them on your page.
  • With the "Status" option, you can filter screens that are accessible and not accessible and view them on your page.
  • With the "Position" option, you can filter screens with the same rotation and view them on your page.
  • With the "Device Type" option, you can filter screens of the same type and view them on your page.
  • With the "Deleted" option, you can filter deleted screens and view them on your page.
  • With the "Label" option, you can filter screens with the same label and view them on your page.
  • With the "Limit" option, you can determine the number of screens to be displayed on the page.

Search

With the search bar in the upper right, you can search for a screen title, screen label, or assigned labels in the screens page that you want to search for.
